We are a team of associates with individual skills and expertise and we work together to deliver the best outcome for you, our customer.
We have been in the world of ‘social good’ for a long time. We know what works, we know what your organisation needs to do to make a difference in the world, we know that by working together you get the best experience.
Caroline is the founder of Social Good HQ, and the Social Good Foundation. She is passionate about business and doing good, with over 25 years experience across private and nonprofit sectors. She loves meeting new and inspiring people and supporting them on their ‘social good’ journey.
She is married to Colin with two daughters, Georgia and Amelie and one small but demanding Bolognese dog, Bailey. Having fun usually consists of family, friends, crisps, guac and a large glass of white wine!
Her 16-year old self would not be impressed with where she is now, she wanted to change the world, live in Australia and marry Brad Pitt. Luckily her more mature self knows that only one of these is still possible!
Karen set up CommsBank to offer an alternative to a PR agency retainer or an in-house communications specialist. She loves to tell stories, and believes that every business has a valuable story to tell, it’s just a matter of asking the right questions, genuinely listening and knowing how to craft the answers.
She lives beside the sea with her dog, cat, two sons and husband.
Before becoming an adult Karen travelled extensively and lived in New York, Santa Barbara, Melbourne and London. Her middle-aged self remembers those times fondly, but nowadays she would much rather be at a Holiday Village in Ibiza or Centre Parcs, honest!

Sarah Stone: Community Benefits
Sarah is the founder of Samtaler and a former Downing Street external relations advisor.
Since moving to Scotland she has focused on immersing herself in Scotland’s vibrant social enterprise sector. She is a communicator and connector who loves exploring ways business can help us build a better world.
She specialises in matching and connecting private sector organisations with charities, social enterprises and community groups who are aligned to their core values and designing ways for them to work together to create real social benefit for their communities and stakeholders.
She is married to John and has two children, a dog and a weakness for Netflix, red wine and crisps.
Sarah has never been one for standing by and waiting for things to happen and is hugely inspired by the potential for businesses to operate in a way that benefits society and the world as a whole.
Julia Brown; HR/people/change
Julia is the Founder/Director at Activate-HR. She is intrinsically passionate about people, and how better to use this passion than to help organisations grow and develop by bringing people together, creating great places to work, and enabling positive and lasting change.
She is married to Brian with a son, Ross, and two daughters, Aimee and Hannah. She loves nothing better than laughter and being with her family.
Julia’s plan when she was younger was to travel the world as a lorry driver in a tartan shirt, jeans and cowboy boots with the open road for company. There have been plenty of open roads throughout the years; however her friends would say her driving is perhaps more of the Miss Daisy variety!
